Let’s pull together 519 style
We’re all facing difficult times, but local retailers, shops, and restaurants are especially feeling the pain from Canada’s attempt to flatten the curve. While we all need to practice social distancing, we also need to come together to support the most impacted members of our community. At Stryve, we’re doing this by purchasing gift cards from five of our favourite local restaurants. We’re hoping you’ll do the same.
Do you have a favorite coffee shop, restaurant, or record store that could use some support? Here’s what you can do:
- Share the #519Together hashtag and/or image and @mention the local business you’d like to help. Some of them might not be open or able to process gift cards remotely, but @mentioning them will get their attention and get you in touch. From there, you can make arrangements directly.
- Check out, share, or contribute to this google sheet. There are a lot of businesses that could use the help right now and we don’t want anyone to be left behind.
- Once you’re all done, spread the word by sharing the image below.
